Here is my 1956 Gibson L7CN For sale. It includes a rhythm chief 1100 pick up from the 1960s mounted by a stick. Guitar is all original except for the pick guard set ups. I have three set ups one is acoustic, second is a Lollar blade Charlie Christian style pick up, And then the 1100 rhythm chief. Asking $5399 shipped domestic net to me.
Some light scratches and dings, but absolutely crack free. Frets are good and playable, but on the last crown. This is likely an update the next owner will need to do some time down the line.
Nice guitar but you want the same price as Reverb. You might do the forum a favor and give them a break if you sell it through the forum, you don't pay any fees.
A bump for a great vintage setup. Guitar is clean and great shape vintage pickup setup is solid and versatile. Knock $800 off is you don’t want the pickup.

All the written specs I've ever seen for both say the depth is 3-3/8", but I've read/heard anecdotally that they're not 100% consistent and some are a little thicker. Jack has both, so maybe he can...
I asked a luthier at an acoustic guitar manufacture where they build various models and use many different kinds of wood. She confirms that the wood used for the neck can influence the instruments...
In general, the answer is "more guitars".
I would love to play the vibraphone. Beautiful sound, and I enjoy almost every recording with the masters like Hutcherson, Hampton, Burton, etc.

Hey! Thanks a lot for the detailed response,
I’m going to a school with other music students too. My budget is in about the 2,000 dollar range. I’m gonna start looking into some of the used stuff!...
If you meant "the amazing slow downer", it is here: !Slow down and transcribe with Roni Music software - slow down the speed of music without changing the pitch
Also I just wrote what turned out to be a 2,000 word essay on the history of the jazz blues from King Oliver to Joe Henderson. It was meant to be a script for a video (as yet unmade....)
