Bought this guitar brand new on 19 Nov.1998, from «New Age Strings» in the USA.
This guitar is in a remarkable good condition and comes with the original hard case.
It has one Humbucker (DiMarzio Blaze 2), to pot meters (vol.- & tone control) with «sure grip II» buttons. “Gold” metal tailpiece. Woods: neck: 3 staves of Mahogany, fingerboard Ebony with AR square position indicators. Measurements: body 17", thickness 2 ?/??". Color: sunburst. Metal parts: «gold». frets: 20 medium, type of frets: SBB213-175. Bridge: Ebony custom.
Had a new bridge top made, with room for the pickup part of a Roland GK2A, while its control unit is fixed to the top of the guitar with 2-sidet tape. This way the guitar can be connected to a guitar synthesizer or get an acoustic sound, but of course only from the top 6 strings. The GK2A is included.
The guitar can be tried in Bergen, Norway. Transportation to be discussed.

Not to worry, still lots of cigarbox and numberplate guitars being built in the USA ;)
(Though from what I've seen those also cost more than many "real" guitars built elsewhere.)

Yeah that's probably been recycled in the ABRSM stuff. The later grades have a lot of that.

I was thinking of all those 19th century classical guitar pieces that do stuff like that. There's a few by Guiliani that I've taught for early grade guitar exams.
