Built by and bought from Louis Dupaquier, who himself is a 7-string jazz guitar player and has been in apprenticeship as a luthier with recognized luthier Jimmy Foster, who also played 7-string jazz guitar. The neck of this guitar was part of the estate of Jimmy and Louis has used it to build this «bodyless» 7-string, in 2001 for guitarist Randy Herbert.

The body is formed by aluminums pipe, covered I black plastic. These pipes can easily be removed for transportation.
Woods: “highly figured quilted” maple top, Mahogany back. Bolt on neck: one-piece Mahogany, scale 25 inch, neck width at the nut is 2 1/16 inch, Ebony finger board, headstock, and finger rest. The finger rest can be removed for transportation. The «body» seize is: 15 by 3 inch. At the back there is a room with space for a wireless sender, so the guitar can be played without a lead!
22 frets of “gold” EVO. Metal parts: «gold», except the afore mentioned body pipes.
Tuners: 16:1 Gotohs with a "Tacoma" logo and ebony buttons. Strap lock: Schaller
Pickups: one Custom Kent Armstrong (Foster) pickup with adjustable pole pieces and piezo saddles from “GraphTec”. A gig bag is included. The guitar looks like new!

The guitar can be tried in Bergen, Norway. Transportation to be discussed.
