I built this guitar a few years ago when I was my Ed Bickert phase. The soldering and pickup installation was done at Midwood Guitar Studio in Charlotte. Guitar was also setup there.
The neck is a warmoth custom neck and cost about $600 alone. The body is a Fender Road Worn Telecaster Nitro and was purchased for $400. The neck pickup is a Lollar Imperial costing about $200. Hardware is upgraded as well, with Schaller M6 locking tuners which retail for $140. Altogether, this guitar is worth over $1,500. The only recommendation I would make is to switch out the bridge pickup to something more substantial, I didnt out anything too expensive in because I only used the neck pickup. Looks like a great deal for someone! Two questions… is the Lollar a normal-wind or a low-wind? and… do you have the tip for pickup switch? Thanks and best of luck with the sale!
I’ll throw in a KA HPAC pickup which was left over from a Comins GCS-16 I own, if anyone is concerned the lollar is too hot (i don’t find it hot at all but I generally play with a very soft attack)
This is a great deal just for the parts, let alone what is probably a very cool jazz Telecaster. Particularly if any of you guys live close enough to the seller to avoid shipping costs. Opportunity knocks.....

You should post a another price that is all inclusive and also post pictures of the back. A Flamed neck needs to be shown!
Dear Ed,
I own one of Jimmy Foster’s 7-strings, a great guitar. I also use an Evans RE amp.
You can look Ron up on YouTube, there are many interesting videos of him there.
The last few years...
Dear mr. Quick,
Thanks for your interest in one of my guitars. I do not hope it will available too long, as I will sell to the first interested buyer.

The thumb! for whatever reason I like it with Donna Lee. Definitely limits the positions and fingerings, but for me it really makes me think of how to phrase things with the left hand.
Absolutely. Obviously it's a terribly basic idea to plonk down block chords with the left while playing a tune with the right. I mean, that's the sort of musical equivalent of a child intensely...
I've never run into issues with people being late. It has never happened once since I started playing jazz gigs 2-3 years ago. Same with drugs, never seen people getting high on gigs. I play with...
The music life is a calling, much like someone is called to be a priest or monk. The work is demanding, with bad hours, and for people who are intoxicated, and it's low paying but the reward is in...
Thanks for the information, Greywolf. I haven’t gotten back to the project but if my polishing compounds don’t work I will first clean the surface with Naphtha. And will then do a light overspray...
Hey all,
I bought my ES-175 used for $2499 at the Hollywood Guitar Center about 10 months ago.
Plays great, looks great etc... It was part of a "3 day all used 20 percent off deal."so if my...
