    Hello guys,

first of all excuse my English, please.
I'd like to sell my 1941 Gibson ES 125 and here are all details I know, and the story: I bought the guitar in 2019 or 2020 for approx 2300 Euro. It's a 1941 Gibson ES 125, as I understood just after changing the naming from ES 100. The serial number can hardly be read, but with good history knowledge can lead to some "educated guess". This is definitely a player grade guitar, I bought it as repaired. I maganed to find the professional luthier who did the job (approx in 2018). I was told the manufacturer cut the hole for pickup through bracing (believe or not) which eventually caused partial arch top collaps. I also got some pictures from restoration and I would say he did a great job.

The construction is solid spruce/mahogany with mahogany neck and beautiful brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Fretwork was also part of restoration. As far as I know, tuners are completely original and working well, although tuner pegs are not entirely complete. One of the pot knobs is a well done replica. All the electronics including the pickup is original and working. There are some rattle noises when using pots, but it is still usable. The neck is perfectly straight and the action is superlow. Frankly speaking I was surprised, how insanely playable could such an old vintage guitar be.The freatboard and the wood is beautiful, neck shape is something I would call an average thickness. Generally the neck is fantastic and I would love to have something similar even on any modern custom built guitar. There is no buzzing and similar thigs while playing.

I considered my original investment as a home guitar for daily playing, because I like smaller bodies and tend to vintage things, but in the end, the amplified sound is still little bit too "brige" (you can see positioning the pickup), which I really regret. I use Thomastic flatwouds 11 strings. Unplugged sound is very woody, something I would call rustling or whispering and I love it and play unplugged a lot.

I offer the guitar for 2400 Euro plus fees or I'm open to your offers or even advices/price recommendations. I'm definitely not expirienced in this area and I have never owned any other vintage instrument. Sadly I cannot prove my seller reputation anyhow.

I stolen the "beauty" pictures from previous seller and I also add some pictures from restoration.
I'm also happy I found the video with me guitar just before it became mine. You caf find it here
    (12:50).

I'm located in central Europe, Czech rep.
Non original case, not very good shape but good for transportation included.

Wow! This would be a pre-war Gibson. That's when the men built them.

Yes. Mucho Wow. It's always good to see respect and appreciation for these precious few relics surviving approaching a century. It's to be celebrated! Nice example. Older than almost all of us.
