I bought this guitar from Archtop.com in 2011.

    See:1934 Gibson L-4

At arrived in the same condition as it is now (i.e. remarkably good for vintage) but frets had been brutally ground down so I had a period correct full refret.

That is the ONLY change !

The original "HSC" is tatty but functional.

It is a fine specimen of a '30s archtop but sadly, I have to accept that my skills never justified owning it.

There is a similar item (seemingly at the crossover time of 1934/35 L-4 and L-7 were somewhat interchangeable.

    See: https://massstreetmusic.com/collecti...itars-1934-l-7

Seeking best offer UNDER that price! plus shipment costs.
NOTE : there may be US Customs duties payable as the guitar (and I) reside in the UK. .

    Thanks for looking, chipickers2016@gmail.com .

btw - plenty more pics available on request.

No customs due if the buyer happens to be in the US as the guitar was made in the States. For a short while this 16” build simply switched model number from L-7 and slipped into the L-4 name when the L-7 became an “Advanced” 17” model. This L-4 is essentially the exact same build as an earlier L-7, right down to the Nick Lucas inlays. GLWTS!
