FYI, those pickup covers with the embossed "Gibson" logo on them are quite desirable. Most sources say "they were only made in 1972", but I understand there was a little bit of spillover on either end of the calendar. So while it's possible that your guitar is a very late '71, it's most likely a '72.

    Good luck with the sale!

Very nice ES175 you've got there. The pickups should be Gibson T-Tops. Unfortunately, the only way to confirm that is to remove the covers from the pickups and look for the distinctive, tiny "T" embossed in the black face of the pickup. I have a set bought new in '71 and they sound great.

Wow, that’s beautiful. Reminds me of Joe Diorio’s Gibson ES-175-img_3156-jpegGibson ES-175-img_3155-jpeg

I own a '72 since '72 and the binding is White, even on the pickguard. This guitar even has yellow on the label. Which makes me think that maybe it's seen tobacco smoke, or sunlight. Maybe not. I have older Gibson's and their binding is not strictly white, but not yellow.
