Listening to these guys' discography over the last few days.

Excellent stuff! Not a dud in their collection.

Of course, their chops are unassailable. As one reviewer said, Michael Brecker did for the tenor sax what David Sanborn did for the alto--made it mainstream and ubiquitous.

The real beauty of the albums is the support from the rhythm section. Some of the best in the business, like Steve Gadd. Will Lee plays bass on quite a few albums. And the guitarists are top-notch, including Steve Khan and Mike Stern.

My only regret, other than Michael's untimely passing, is that they didn't record enough records.

Randy is still out there. Will be playing with Bill Evans (sax) and Lee Ritenour next month--now THAT would be a great show.
