The tone, harmonics and playing are just sublime.
I would've thought E13 can't have A in it. I propose to call that E mixolydian :numbness:
But apparently only horizontal stripes have mojo - unless you play surf music.
Let's face it, the only real Bossa sound is on nylon strings. However, many pro players play bossa on their jazz guitars, usually archtops. It's probably more a question of what not to do - i.e....
So then, if I double the tonic note (or 5th), you folks will consider these harmonic delinquents to be legal and allow them into the chord club? As in: C-G-C or C-G-G (or inversion: G-C-G)
Let the bass play the bass. Covering all the parts just because you can is what piano players do.

I would not alternate, though in the interest of keeping the lowest note on the sixth string, my chords my have a fifth on the bottom.
For Barry Harris btw a chord was four notes. Three notes was a triad. An arpeggio otoh was specifically a broken triad doubled at the octave. So yer all wrong haha ;-) Sent from my...
Pretty simple question, so I expect a pretty simple answer. :smile-new: I don't have a teacher at the moment. Do you play the alternating part of the bossa on the 1 and 3 on say (any Jobim...
Oh I just read your post more clearly. If you already have too much bass then maybe the celestion gold and the Jupiter m10c will be too much also. The m10c has a lot more sparkle than the 10lc. ...
