Can somebody please tell me what pedal Bireli is using apart from the loop station. It sounds like an octave up, but there's something more. Incredible playing BTW. He really looks like he's enjoying himself.

Sounds like a Digitech electric Wah Whammy pedal. These can be set to sweep at set intervals, used as a volume pedal, an octave doubler or split. Really fun and useful if you're adventurous and musical.
