Sorry, I couldn’t resist. That is the great Zakir Hussein on tabla, of course.

I love John’s choice of guitars. Great sound, and what a solo! Apparently his arthritis is to the point he can’t comfortably play the Shakti acoustic guitar.

I saw John many years ago, when he was playing mainly nylon-string, with Katie LaBeque on keyboards. That was a long time ago. Reminds me of a time and a love affair that have passed by—well my love affair and his as well.
