Mike Stern with Vignola, Grasso, and Bruno

I'm not through the whole set yet, but it's a fun and interesting listen so far. I'm sharing because I'm struck by Mike Stern's right hand. I'm a big fan of people overcoming* what life throws at them, and that right hand is telling some serious stories.

*I always struggle with how to say this. Maybe more like Beckett's "I can't go on, I'll go on."

He’s incredible. I assume you know the story of his accident. Pretty remarkable that he’s at the level he’s at.

Pat Martino’s recovery after his surgery is also an inspiration.

Yeah the accident was awful. I’m amazed he can use his right hand at all.

Regarding Martino, a big +1, thumbs up, and all the things. I think I bought Linear Expressions after reading about his story. I’m glad there’s a written opportunity to get a glimpse into his perspective.
