Cool looking guitar with an honest relic.
I'd try to relic my Tele naturally but it's been poly'd inside and out, up and down
Not sure the guitar is worth $32k though but each to their own. Oh, to be a successful hedge fund manager...... actually, I prefer to play my guitar

Wow, had no idea it was for sale or I would of put in an offer (joking!)
Essentially the instrument where comping on the guitar was born, or at least the advent of the modern style. I hope people will still be able to see it and not just sit in some collector's bonus room.
In his own words (thoughts on Jim Hall included):
Jeff Bickert

It's a landmark instrument in jazz guitar but I personally, wouldn't assign it the historical impact of say, Charlie Christian or Django's guitars. But it seems that the market doesn't agree with me.
Regardless of all that, Ed sure made some timeless and influential music on that instrument.

I expect the buyer is a Canadian museum. I hope so.
