    I recall he started out as a guitarist with the Starliters, may have been a replacement or addition to the original group. I don't think he recorded much if anything with them. My memory is fuzzy on this--sorry no time to look up.

    A renaissance man though for sure.

    And he did produce the excellent Jimmy Scott documentary.
