much better sound quality...now to work on the nuances of playing with sax to mic distances and positioning...also can play gentler (dynamics) and let mic and board monitoring/phones do the work
good start

I have never started a new post but I would be curious as to what members think as regards to waltz feel in modern music? The Tennessee Waltz is about the last popular song I can think of but maybe there are more. I think dancing in a three four feel can be very attractive at slower tempos because it can be lilting. Bluesette is pretty popular at jazz shows but I wonder why this feel has seemed to die out in pop music?

Kate Bush’s Army Dreamers and Elvis Costello’s New Amsterdam spring to mind; both are from 1980. What the World Needs Now is Love, Que Sera Sera, Kiss From a Rose... the hits keep on coming.

No mention of "All Blues?"
(ps - How did this end up in the sax/mic/mixer thread?)

Out of curiosity I did a quick google and found this. Check out #9(!)

Don't forget "Moon River" (which also is done in 4/4 in the movie).

as it's a side address capsule, try to keep it parallel to your sax's bell!
have fun

yeah better...tho, i'd drop the rhythm track volume a bit...so you can really bring out all the nuances of the sax...more dynamics...without blowin too hard....tenor can go from high pitched squeal to rumble!!!
