It's been awhile since i last logged in here, but there's a strange synchronicity in that i was just playing
'If I Had You' a couple of days ago, and here it is as this month's standard...
and so, off to the shed i will head, since there are still a few days left in the month!!!
In any case, here's a quick 'baseline' recording, playing the melody and changes from memory, and

I can't play the piano, I don't have the brain for it, I can't coordinate the two hands at all. But my mother was, or used to be, a concert pianist before the war. And, of course, there are all...

That's one of the things I love about playing jazz.
In jazz, chord symbols are more of a guideline for what you could play, but you can ignore it and...

It might sound foolish but my videos on archtops often get thousands of views.
My videos on the workshop get hundreds.

One of the funniest film lines ever, was in one of the Tom Hanks renaissance adventure films. When the good/bad guy is cleaning up after his stabbing murdering, he says something like "Not my best...
I'm one of those people who likes to do arrangements (and compositions), and brings them in to two bands I play with. The lousier of the two bands I play in and write for, massacred an arr. I did...
Groyniad, maybe the sideways angle of the neck does not allow a straight centered line from the middle of the nut through the center of the tailpiece to the endpin. A frontal pic of the whole guitar...
