Yo jazz folks ...

I've posted a couple times about some of the group workshop stuff I've been doing lately. Now that I'm a few months in, I feel a bit better about sharing more of the written material with ya'll.

Here is what I did for January. I divided the workshop into three half-hour long classes where we talked about line building, by way of something I've taken to calling "The Anatomy of a Jazz Lick"

There is obviously some context in the video workshop stuff, but these are still handy. We've also spent the subsequent months getting into some more ways to liven this stuff up with rhythm etc. I'll get that stuff going here at some point too. Anyway ... let me know if you have any questions (or feedback, for whatever that's worth).
