Here's a version I recorded a couple of months ago:
-
Sweet! To be fair: a completely appropriate tempo for this tune.
-
Gah! I just realised I posted a video of Tenderly rather than Misty. For some reason I keep getting those two mixed up. Luckily, I also recorded a version of Misty a few weeks ago:

That's funny! Glad to learn I'm not the only one .

I woke up with this running through my head this morning. So I tried it after breakfast. The backing track is my fingerstyle comp w/ bass on my Tele7 over a sampled drum track. The lead is my Eastman 810 CE7 direct into my DAI. [EDIT: I added a bit of reverb to the file at 3:10 PM today, May 21]

I love doing this doubletime a la Groove Holmes

Ah, the venerable Misty. If everyone takes a chorus, we finish the tune sometime the next day.
I might spare y'all and do a B and last A

On second thoughts, this the only version I've ever done of this tune that I like. Back in 2019.

My first attempt at participating in this virtual jamming, mainly to work out how to do it. Not even sure how to post the soundcloud link properly - hope someone can advise. Edit: aah, looks like it worked
Some details.
- backing track generated by jjazzlab software.
- recorded using Audacity under Linux, using desktop computer's audio input
- guitar used: J&D Luthier AG10
- amplifier: Nux Mighty Lite BT modelling amp

Let 'er rip

In Db. I think I like the format of 1 chorus of soloing and 1 chorus of the head for the virtual jam. It only took over 6 minutes. :P
