    Hi,
I've just trancribed 21 choruses of great Joe Pass solo over Parker blues:RELAXIN' AT CAMARILLO.
This is the track nr 4 on Joe Pass "Joy Spring" CD recorded 1964.
Sorry I do not put any marks between choruses....but chords tell you where you are.

    Hi Kris,

Thanks for this. That must have been a lot of work! I just listened to it while reading your transcription. Everything seems fine except for the 2nd chorus. The transcription does not match the actual solo there untill 5 bars later with the A octave jumps. Then notes and bars changed have shifted two bars. I have seen Finale 2010 do things like that. But I guess it can be fixed easily.
    Best,

    Joep

Funny, I was working on this solo, but decided that it was a bit too boring and repetitious in its vocabulary - it´s a long solo and an example of playing live where you play more than in a studio situation. It´s a good solo, but after I saw the same clichés over and over again I stopped. My guitar teacher had the same experience with this take. Great job on the transcribe however

It's a great tune, and that is a really nice solo by Joe, lots of ideas in there, a very good guitar lesson for me.

and thanks very much for the transcription.

    I do not think so.
It is one of the best jazz blues solo and very educational staff.
It is not live -it is studio recording.
    Thanks

Ha! Not so great. I'm just trying to dig in and learn, like the rest of us.

I'm hoping I can find this on YouTube somewhere?

Check out Jonathan Kreisbergs version of Relaxin at Camarillo. Great stuff. I transcribed the solo - it´s great stuff.

    Here you go.

This was never intended for distribution so I apologize for any mistakes. I also wish this could be written out in standard notation which is practically
impossible on guitar pro. Gotta get sibelius. But anyways, enjoy the transcription.
