Hi!
Here is nice etude that improved my right hand technique. It has hybrid picking pattern for arpeggiated chords.
Cheers, Mikko

Yes, but "that much" can be "only" 5 cents (and compensating that can be done by slipping the equivalent of a piece of toothpick under the string and against the nut). The "nylon" strings I use...
No guitars here, but I find this awfully hard to beat. There are lots of great ones though. https://youtu.be/9dDPVUNk1Mg?si=cEFWfQndag456aNE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The neck alone looks to have parts from at least three different guitars! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As SS pointed out, some 70 GJS had volutes. They actually did them both with and without. Most I’ve seen do not have them. That said, that one doesn’t look like it has a volute to me. It looks...
I meant no harm or competition about "who invented" the solid body. Just pointing to the fact that Paul Bigsby led the way in America, not Fender or Gibson. I respect all the different luthiers from...
I was addressing the OP. I have no disagreement with what you posted. But if an individual string is so far out that it needs that much compensation, something is wrong. The easiest thing to try...
It'd be really interesting to see and hear a proper, in-depth comparison of a number of famous US-made archtops with their counterparts from the golden age of German archtop lutherie. IMHO that would...
I put it on when I went to bed last night, but I fell asleep. Have to try again. What I did hear of it, very interesting. I feel like people with either love to hate this one...
Yeah, it was decided that 13 and 14 were part of the line started prior. I like it nice and slow too. Things get too fast and they sound spastic to me.
Hi All, posting here for my forum friends. Have an excellent 16-B for sale. Recently got into a vintage Fratello and just don’t need both in the stable. Happy to tend offers from those on...
I thought I had caught up with the thread, but bars 13-14 seem to have been included with the latest 4 bars. I'm getting there slowly, but I'm playing 100bpm. Good thread, I'm enjoying...
Those kinds of radical mods are things you do when you're in need of a very specific functional requirement. They're things you do because it's your guitar and it makes you happy-and you want it to...
Of course, and it wasn't my intention to contradict you on this. But the OP only mentions a slight intonation problem at the 12th fret on the lower strings, nothing that makes me think of a problem...
I wouldn't have made these changes, but I have seen similar ones made by a competent luthier. Pete Moreno put a mounted pickup in a gorgeous Heritage that was x-braced. He was able to shim a small...
You are welcome, Hammertone! Ploughing through a dissertation is certainly something for a rainy weekend or two. Btw., as an owner of NOS "Roger electric 54" parts you could start to assemble some...
