Chord melody and triads

Hey guys. Ive progressed a lot in my chord melody playing. But Im simply at a loss what to do with triads. What do you guys usually do? I suspect using all chordal tones 1-3-5 + melody to avoid doubling of any notes. Do I place the 3 and 5 on g and d string? Root on e/a probably?

To get extensions, I usually drop the 5 and often drop the root.

Honestly don’t use triads much for chord melody, but they’re sort of foundational for fretboard knowledge. All inversions and all string sets. Start with D-B and G-e strings usually.
