For what it's worth, there was a 68' custom for sale on this website at $800.
When I choose not to use classical position, that part sits on my right leg. I often sit crossed legged like the fellow in this video. It's really a clever design and, yes, the top part is removable...
Exactly. if the guitar is not limited by the requirements of an acoustic construction, I don't know why they didn't just design a built-in mechanism for adjustable height.
I listened to Midnight Blue - for the 1000th time LOL- on my drive home from band practice last night. Just have to say, I own several Burrell albums, including Live at the Vanguard, but there's...
Yes, that's right. That part rests on the top of the Dynarette as it would your leg if you used a footstool instead.
You sure seem to care about who is president for someone who just said they don't care and didn't even vote.
I know but that just corresponds to a normal guitar body position. Most people use some sort of support to elevate it from that point (suction cup supports, dynarette, foot stool etc).
It's good timing for them, for sure, but if they *planned* it that way, I'd say Fender has an "in" with the Biden administration. Undersecretary for G.A.S?
A+ Had one, and it’s much easier to play than the Soloette, sounds better, and comfortable for a couple hours work. Ultimate classical travel guitar too. Good luck with the sale Michael.
The outside of the cutaway piece is where to set it on your leg.
For what it's worth, the Vibro Champ weights 27 lbs, (12.2 kilos) A Princeton reverb 68" custom weights 34 lbs and costs $899. The speaker in the 68' Priceton amp is sort of rock oriented....
I always play sitting down, no issues. When I do opt for "classical position", whether this guitar, my Telecaster or Martin 000, I use a Dynarette cushion.
With these new models, Fender is hoping to get stimulated I guess when people get their checks (in the US).
Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue - still the best
