Fender Squire 'Mustang' Whammy Bar

Is the Fender Squire Mustang with a whammy bar a good quality whammy bar? If not I was thinking of getting a whammy pedal. Is a whammy pedal as good as using a whammy bar?

As no previous experience with a whammy pedal what are the differences between makes? Some better than others?

The pedal is nothing like the bar.

The mustang/jazzmaster/jaguar trem is a pretty good design, much more on the subtle side of whammy bars...

The pedal is capable of sounds a bar could never do, but its also very artificial sounding imho.

I just went through the whole wah pedal decision. Note that there is a difference between auto-wah and envelope filter. Auto-wah lets you set the speed and width and depth, then keeps going at that setting. Envelope filter reacts to everything you play with a “wah.” Again, you can set all the parameters to your need.
