The nicest sounding Guild I’ve played was a Ghost label X500 with white Franz (I think) pups. I’m still haunted by the sound.Originally Posted by DawgBoneI can never find it on a youtube search so I'll let you slide this time (heh heh) if you send the video link to my inbox or at least just post it up on the forum. I'll bookmark it. It stands out to my ears in a big way, so much so that I can't forget hearing it. THE jazz tone for mellow stuff like that. My wife also loves old Guilds so who knows one day maybe I can talk her into getting me a nice X-700 just so I can play Moonlight in Vermont for her around the house. But I gotta start small so I need that link brother!

Is this guitar ruined? Cheap for a JS Attention Required! | Cloudflare
They would do $11,400 out the door from their store (it rhymes). Is this a deal or not so much? I have not ever come across a new one. Attention Required! | Cloudflare
I wish you were closer. If I make my way over to Scandinavia one of these days which I might I'll look you up. Do you follow the stylings of George Van Eps, Howard Alden, Howard Morgen or none of...
I was thinking maybe you used the top as a gauge for your the thickness of your uncooked pizzas, but this sounds more ... plausible :) Indoor Italian cooking can also call for a guitar, the more...
thanks, yeah it's a brighter guitar than I expected. Perhaps exacerbated because i pick a little closer to the bridge
Thanks for the replies folks. I realize it's a pretty specific question. @Bebop Tom, it's not the saddles that are the issue. It seems that it's hard to find a new 2-footed bridge base (be it...
Played those for years until I discovered Manouchepicks - Jokko makes a 3mm pick in exactly the same shape as the Primetone but made from a resin that’s meant to be close to tortoiseshell. The...
The perfect jazz guitar sound for my liking, woody and articulate, but still warm. Funny but reminds me of Bensons sound. So maybe it's the Ibanez signature sound ? And of course over the top...
Yes, the 804 & 804C were 24.75 scale length. I only mention this because the "short scale" tag might lead someone to think it's "lesser" or shorter than it should be. It's a beautiful guitar (I have...
Oils as well, but painting tends to be a solo performance. Cooking is like playing with a combo and sometimes the drummer's rushing.
What percentage of the sale do dealers (brick-and-mortar or online) normally take for sale of an instrument on consignment?
Forgive my ignorance, but why doesn't Faber sell wood bases for their ABR1? Is there any reason why this particular TOM might not be the best choice for a floating bridge setup?
Current price for a Gibson ES175 is $3500 - $4000. Even in my small town. I think you are out of touch with current prices.
Depends on the painter. Watercolor involves a lot of improvisation if you do it right.
I have new and old Gibson archtops, and standard ABR style saddles fit perfectly. Are you sure you have the original base on that guitar?
