Hey guys sorry if these questions seem a bit basic, but I'm not overly familiar with bigsby type trems.

So on my kingpin the distance from my bridge's take off point to where the strings enter the tailpiece is approx 3". With the extra long tailpiece of an Xtrem this will be reduced down to 2". Will that steeper break angle be a problem, for example with the strings pinching against the saddle too much? Also as it is screwed to the top, will a thin top on a hollow body with no center block provide enough stability?

That's the wrong trem for a hollowbody archtop guitar.
The Xtrem is a cheap copy of a Bigsby B-7.
These screw into the top of the guitar.

Hollowbody archtops should be equipped with Bigsby B-6 or equivalent copy.
These do not screw into the top of the guitar.

    Thanks, thought so.

I was thinking of going for the Xtrem equivalent of the b6 as the bigsby's pretty expensive.

Can anyone offer an opinion on them floating Xtrem?
