D'Angelico Excel SS Tour

Hi all,

I recently acquired a new guitar that is pretty exciting on a number of levels. The D'Angelico Tour edition from the Excel line. I had been looking for something more comfortable to play regularly than my Peerless Monarch which, I love, but is a full size box. The Tour is a 15" semi-hollow with a very nice sounding Supro PAF in the neck. I'm running it through a Quilter USSB on the '65 setting with some verb, and it sounds like swing heaven.

I guess they came out about a year ago, and prices have been cut in half recently. For a Korean made instrument, with an ebony fretboard, great pickups, and overall build quality that I think very few should quibble with, I would say they are definitely worth considering. Mine came darn near perfectly set-up out of the box. See pic below. They come in a few colors - I chose wine.

Anyways, I'd be interested to know if anyone else has given one a try and what you think.
