Hi all,
I took some pictures of my recently departed Ibanez 2471 but didn't get round to posting them. It's not my best work unfortunately. The depth of field and focus is a little off here and there, as too is the alignment cropping (straightening).
I've got some video footage somewhere too. I hope to turn the whole lot into a short video soon but have several other videos planned first.
2 things about the pics.
1) I'm trying to use the watermark as a way of enhancing the pics, something like a front page to a magazine. I think in these examples, it works with some and not others. I'm not sure where the line is but I hope I become more tasteful with it going forwards. Any comments about them would be appreciated. Position, size, etc..
2) The black circular dot under the fingerboard extension is a laser scanning marker, that I had forgot was there and didn't see during the shoot.
This is a warts and all shoot. The guitar was going to be restored but I simply didn't have time, whilst trying to build the workshop. I thought it best to capture the guitar none the less, being that these are somewhat rare.
Cheers

What is the problem that it needs to be restored?

Well that make sense it looks perfectly fine to me. I am one who within reason says a little playing wear is not a problem and this looks to me to be in great condition. A ding or mark is expected and certainly a new pickguard and floater. For me this would be a fun guitar to buy and just get it like in perfect playing order with pickguard, Armstrong pfa, and set up.

As I said when I first bought it, It's the closest thing you can get to a vintage Gibson equivalent, without the price tag.
Are they as good? I would say a good example of one of these, is likely better than a bad example of the real deal but otherwise, the real deal is a better guitar.
