Sarno V8 octal preamp

Anybody have one? Have you tried recording direct with it? Impressions?

I had one for a few years. Fantastic tube preamp! It became part of the best jazz tone I ever achieved. Sarno V8 into a Carvin TS-100 tube power amp through Raezer’s Edge speaker cabs. Unfortunately, the Carvin power crapped out on me and magic was lost. I never had occasion to use the direct out howeve, so I can’t speak to that, but the Sarno V8 was a fine piece of gear. I finally settled on vintage Fender Princetons. Fewer moving parts…

You didn't ask, but I have a Sarno Earth Drive and it is absolutely hands down the best effects pedal that i've ever bought.

Heck, I've run straight into a PA using it as my pre-amp and it was even great then.

Sarno knows his stuff!
