What is the 2nd from the top? I’ve never seen a hole like that.

I dig the oval hole Standard.

Personally I don’t get the CC/P90 love. Yes a nice tone but I can’t get past the 60hz hum. I guess I have dog ears….LOL

Vinny my dog runs to the bedroom and crawls underneath or behind it when I plug in any electric. P90, humbucker, doesn't matter. Hope it's not like that bad brother!
And I know that It's not my playing because he lays at my feet when I play acoustically, which is most of the time at home.
    Poor guy.

I think my dog enjoys my playing, even the noise I make with 4x12s, BUT there are some unexplained faint rings on the music room carpet so maybe he's trying to tell me something very different. Fortunately he's a long haired Chihuahua so the rings are in proportion.

Same here, Vinny. It sounded like maybe it digitizes the signal to remove the hum. Works for many folks. But, I didn’t like it.

I'm sorry bro, I didnt see this.
Wow. And I am sure when you feel it, you wont feel the slightest bubble in the finish. It will be as smooth as a sheet of glass.
It really is amazing when you realize what this man can do with 100's of pieces of wood.
    Brilliant.

I feel for you AC. If it's any consolation a) the time goes quite quickly and b) the wait is an enjoyable part of the journey.

Actually I doubt I will ever stop following these threads.

When it comes to Mark C. I think of that Neil Young song : Long may you run.

That's beautiful wood. What a lovely guitar.
It's as though you are looking into a pool of water with the sun shinning onto it! Spectacular.

    that is really spectacular !!
I own an 18 inch special that is in what I would call a bloody Mary red, a bit darker than a faded cherry but not wine red. This is gonna be such a spectacular guitar

Well said Mike. Mark's skill never ceases to amaze me and getting this colour perfect we can now add telepathy to that list of skills because my request was all over the place! I expect this finish will age beautifully. Well done Mark.

The sun has settled a little now but the water looks just as inviting!

I'd call that the Harry Houdini neck joint. It's invisible, almost like the guitar was made from a single piece of wood. A museum piece except I would play all the finish off a guitar like that. Incredible workmanship.

Put some white sand around it, make a Pina Colada, and pretend you are in Hawaii

Thanks Vinny now I can’t get the sound out of my head of Mary Ford singing some Hawaiian song through Les Paul’s Paulveriser accompanied by his pitch shifted guitar.

I can't afford Mike's guitars but I might be game for a nice framed picture of that axe on a white sand beach under an umbrella next to a pina colada.

In return maybe you could do one of your authentic “relic” jobs on the guitar.
