I was under the impression that the signature was not the builder but the supervisor of the builder(s). Somewhere theres an interview with Hutch where he states that. I know in 89 Triggs was there and worked on mine, but he sure didnt sign it)))

Yup a name means nothing unless it is signed by D’Angelico, D’Aquisto, Campellone, etc…
Many hands build a Gibson.
