    I enjoyed this immensely.

    Couple of questions

Is the zig zag tailpiece more resonant than the trapeze? What!?

Other than the case what makes this a Custom Shop? The dark fretboard?

He is using 10-46 Elixers on that guitar. There are better strings for a 175 IMO.

I am unable to tell much of a difference between the two tailpieces used on a 175.

AFAIK, all Memphis made 175's are "custom shop" and this is a Memphis build. Some Nashville made 175's are made in the Nashville Custom shop, some are not.

This guitar is for sale (Roland is a Facebook friend of mine).

My 2017 Memphis doesn’t have that case it does have a trapeze though. Not labeled Custom anywhere.

I love this review by someone very familiar with guitar.

My 2017 ES-175 Figured lacks any "custom shop" designation on the case, label and COA as well. But IIRC, they were still advertising the Memphis facility as an ES Custom shop up until the end. I do not believe they ever had a separate custom shop area in Memphis as they did in Nashville.

Mine was made in the Nashville Crimson shop. Note the heel cap and old school neck sunburst on the edges.

    Vinny,

The Pope (who would that be for jazz guitar ? George Benson ?) should designate your house as a jazz guitar pilgrimage site along with Big Mike's place.
