I have been corresponding with Markku at Toob Speakers in Finland for a while and finally my new speaker cab has arrived. I have no affiliation with Toob, just so you know. On the other hand I feel it worthy that innovators get credit where credit is due and understand the struggle that small new starters have in the midst of all the dominating larger firms.

Anyway I have just received my Toob 10” S model with a Jensen N10/100 TR neo speaker. The entirety weighs in at 9 lbs. I have only unpacked and played a bit but it is very responsive with extremely good definition, musicality, warmth and volume resource. I could once again say that it is light, 9 lbs, grab and go. My present head, a DV Mark micro 50 II sounds great in both clean and slightly driven lead mode. I have in fact read about and thus discovered Toob here at Jazz Guitar from others, mostly in Europe but some in the US, who are as happy about their new tone and ease of mobility as I am. Unfortunately my playing is not of par to post but there are other examples of play here on the forum as well as on the net and. Lastly, my wife, who has absolutely no interest in my gear what so ever, said upon unpacking that, “that was really cool looking!” I believe it is relatively indestructible as well though I haven´t tested.

I enclose pic´s with guitar to act as a reference concerning size.

Hiya all! As the "Toob guy" I should restrain myself from chiming in. However, I've finally found the time to plug the new Quilter SuperBlock US into a TOOB 10S. The guitars I have on hand, a -99 Emperor Regent and a fresh Epi Casino Coupe, both sound great. The latter, even with stock roundwounds, can be coached to a mellow jazz tone, with the cab contributing to that elusive Thunk. The amp gives most clean headroom in the -57 Tweed position, and if you accept a little bit hair for a more three-dimensional sound, just add Gain a bit over 12.00 for plentiful volume. Blues and fusion players will find a lot in this combination to write home about.

Where am I supposed to place my beer?

    Regardless, cool cab/concept.

The beer goes in the usual place, on top of the amp.

Congrats on the Toob and enjoy it. I agree with Markku that the superblock (UK for me) with a Toob (12S and 6.5 Metro BG) is a great pairing - gone are the days of strained backs hauling heavy combos up and down stairs.
