The 82 also are 10% tolerance, the 95s are 20%

I have just bought a couple of Bourns pots (500K log), no clue if they are 82 or 95. They turn very lightly, even a little bit too lightly to my taste. They actually feel of the same quality as CTS or Alpha.
I plotted their curve:
They measured even more than their rated 500K.

Those aren’t either. Those are one of the standard open series. A type 95 looks like this:

When I looked into Bourns vs CTS online the main things were that both were high quality but you either love or hate the free turning feel of the Bourn. They are apparently engineered to do that. Those using volume swells like it. Haven't tried them yet but think I will.
