So, seller will not send me more pics other than this blurry one.
Having a hard time getting any info. Other than the seller says they know nothing about it and they got it as part of a trade.
I'm not an expert so not like some of the people here who can glance at something and know that it's a fake.
So, sorry this is all I have.
What do you guys think?

Real or not I would not buy from a difficult seller. Does sound a little fishy.

Which Gibson model is this supposed to be? A 175 definitely not. There's many features that tell me it's a fake: body and cutout shape, neck PU position, pic guard shape, material, color and attachment, fret markings, wrong "teardrop" shape at the end of the fretboard, position of PU switch. I think Ive seen a similar fake in a nearby guitar shop. But there are myriads of Gibson users, connoisseurs, collectors and former reps here who know better than me.

Fake.

Fugazi
excuse me but just on general principles and manners, if someone wants to buy or sell with you they damn well better be courteous and helpful. If not, so long CharlieLast edited by Crm114; 01-14-2021 at 08:00 PM.

Just walk away. That fretboard end, the fret markers are weird, the tun8ng head; pickups, cut away, and switch just don’t look right. And the guy doesn’t seem trustabLe.
-
If it's Gibson it's either Super 400 or L5 with florentine cutaway. These models exist but the sellers attitude is suspicious.
It's funny how they took the photo near a BMW to appear credible.

If you want a Gibson, which is only a symbol of status, not of quality, then find an instrument and seller who is trustworthy and responsive and pay the going price.
If it looks suspicious, pass.

Absolutely fake. Not even an attempt to re-create the Gibson specs. That means a cheap ultra mass produced toy grade look alike. That photo is a little too close and clear to try to pass that off. To be convincing, it'd have to be taken from across a field-at night. I've seen better done ones in back rooms at Chinatown importers, and they were heavy as an anchor, no life to the sound and about a hundred bucks.
How much was it going for?
-
It is not even a good fake. Everything that could be wrong is wrong.
-
Cool how the neck joins the body at the 16th fret.
-
For $150 it could be a nice guitar. I would not pay more.
No, not a Gibson, as everyone has already spotted. Body shape looks like a Chinese kit-guitar that is sold as a '175-model':
