Single pickup, or two?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'll never, ever even consider buying an archtop with a single p'up, as I've always had the need of the middle position tone, as project leaders came up with a song that called for that characteristic tone specifically, at one point of another. And after almost forty years as a pro, let's say that experience plays a big role on buying decisions, for me and even more for the customers that have deposited their trust in me and my abilities.

See, even common sense advices that it's always better to have it and not using it, that need it and not having it.
