    You have to wonder....

2 colors, and one reminds you of a bad night of drinking..........

who gives the OK on this...... Hermit the frog?

you don't have to ask me to know what i think, and the general consensus here justifies that. i did think the brass was a little odd until i realized its basically just jaguar tan.

Nope, it was his brother Kermit.

Classic Gibson strategy: a standard L5 is now way overpriced, so they come with a low budget version. Not a bad thing! I've been playing an ES-333 for years now, basically a low budget ES-335 and it's every bit as good! Especially after the '57 classic upgrade of the pickups (they can still be had for a third of the price of a 335).

That L5 studio looks interesting. No bindings and flower pot inlay? Who needs those anyway? Now a green archtop.... that's a no-no! :-)
I actually prefer NO BINDING on the Neck-
You have beautiful Rosewood or Ebony or
Pau Ferro or Granadillo Fingerboard and
Plastic on the edges ...and possibly a way to not fully finish the Fret Ends..

For an excellent Guitar- I 'd live with Binding but it really does not scream hi end to me.

Regarding the ugly wacky Green color...
If it was 60% off - worth it.

Man I love the Dot Inlays too..I prefer to feel the wood I guess...

That Guitar is so beautiful that on second look even the Navy Seal Green is still nice but radically reduces the Looks.

When the Title said 'Studio' I thought maybe $2000. to $2500. (?¿)

According to the Gibson website, this new L5 Studio is priced $250 less than the '59 VOS ES175 (sunburst). That seems odd to me.
