    Hi,
I/ve recorded clean sound solos on my Strat and Tele today.
I use 11' string on Strat and 12 " on Tele.
I played solos on neck pick'ups/APG/.
    how do you like them?

The tele kills the strat! That's because I have a tele too, and I hate strats Great playing! I am definitely putting 12's or 13's on my tele now, after hearing this. Now I have 11's on the tele, and 12's on my LP copy.

ouch!! you guys are killin him..he just got that strat!!

the tele has the more "jazzy" rolled back tone..strat has some snap..almost piezo-ish...tell you the truth, i prefer the tele tone too!! hahaha

kris you really have abercrombie vibe down..nice

I preferred the strat tone. Nice work, either way.

Great playing! Nice ideas and phrasing! Tones are sweet as well, but it's music that matters most, right? Thanks Kris!

    Thanks for all coments.
    Yes...Tele and Strat.
I have my Tele 6 years already and I did a lot of mods on it to get this "jazzy" sound...I mean dark, warm, woody etc.
Most important Graphtech saddles , APG humbs in single size and chambered body.

The Strat I have only few days and I like it very much because it is different...but some of things in my Strat I like very much...I have to try 12" strings on it and maybe experiment with Graphtech saddles. The potential of Stratocaster is very, very big.

I lean toward the tele. However, I could listen to you play all day regardless of which guitar.

I lean tele too, but not as far as I thought I would.

It's always a pleasure to hear you play.

Hey thanks for the aural treat, Kris! If you have access to a Flying V, BC Rich Mockingbird or any of the ESP F models, perhaps you could post some clips of your playing jazz on those as well?

I love your playing. I also use strat and tele almost exclusively.

In this case it seems like the tele is trying too hard to sound like an archtop. The strat has a more honest tone, if that makes sense

Fixed bridge, no whammy, no forearm contour or tummy cut. I think both Teles sound good .

Kris, in my post above, forgot to request recordings made on any of the Ibanez Joe Satriani models. But only if you have access to one -- not suggesting that you buy one, obviously. Ditto, a Jimmy Hendrix tribute Strat and the Epiphone Les Paul Gothic.
