Can anyone make any recommendations for a thinline fully hollow guitar that might be similar to an Epiphone Casino except with humbuckers. It doesn't need to be double cut. I'm thinking in the same general price point as well. Say $500 to $1000 USD.

Maybe you can find a guild tailpiece if you want to remove the Bigsby.

The Cort Triggs is a most excellent guitar, and I've seen them go for as little as $400. Of course I've seen some "optimistic" prices like one now on Ebay but they are worth the wait for a better price.

Joe, I "thought" the Sheraton is semi-hollow? Or did / do that make one fully hollow?

you guys are probably right. I didn't realize the Sheraton was not fully hollow. I should have checked before I posted. I had one for a while and I always thought it was like the 335.
    I'm sorry fellas.

I have a Seventy-seven Guitars Exrubato Hollow-H with a pair of humbuckers. It has been discontinued but you may still find it for sale in Japan as a used guitar.

No, mine is not for sale.

The Casino is a great choice, give the p90's a chance

    If it’s the hum…
    Lindy Fralin makes a Hum-cancelling P90

If you really can’t do P90’s there are several P90 size (dog ear) humbuckers.

Seymour Duncan under P90 Dog ear

    Seymour Duncan P90 Stack

    Creamery, fat
    Creamery, dirty

    Curtis Novak

And there is the dreaded, short lived Gibson P100 (which you can probably find for free in a pickup grab box

I’m sure the boutique makers Loller or Vintage vibe can make anything too

I’ve heard the Gibson Mini-Humbuckers can work in that space as well, untested by me though…

I believe Emily Remler played a Gibson ES 330 with humbuckers, maybe find out about that setup.

Well get a red Casino remove the P90's and replace with humbucker and say it's Emily Remler Memorial Model. She used a Gibson 330 that had the P90's replaced with humbuckers.

Other fully hollow thinline suggestions. The ones with a stop tailpiece mounted on top have a small wood block glued to the top to support the studs. (Not everyone considers that a fully hollow)

    Eastman El Rey series
    Eastman T184, T185, T186
    D'Angelico EX-SS
    Cort M800
    Aria Pro II TA-61
    Peerless Conti
    Gibson ES-125TC
    Schecter Jazz 6
    Peerless Renaissance Custom (I think)

Gibson ES-125TC is a great suggestion.

I just read the part where the OP says that it doesn't need to be a double-cut. Not to shill Seventy-seven Guitars but I guess I am shilling as I am jazzed about the quality of their build: check out the Hawk or Hawk Jazz.

They look nice and I'm sure well built but the most inexpensive Seventy-seven I've seen is still like $1800, which is out of the OP's budget.

How about a Westerly built Guild Starfire II. Only issue is no case.

Great suggestions! I didn't even think of the Epiphone Sorrento. Those seem to be fairly inexpensive. And I have had good luck with Epiphones in the past. I actually did have a Casino, I just couldn't take how noisy the pick ups were. I know that there are hum cancelling P90s. But, they're about the same cost as the guitar, so, not really worth it to me.
I have never tried a guitar with mini humbuckers. Now I'm intrigued.

See the concurrent thread about the new Guild Starfire II. It is not in production yet, I believe, but GET A GUILD.

I think what the OP wants is something modelled on an ES330 - and Gibson have done some inexpensive versions more recently. Fully hollow, no centre block, but a thinline body. So an ES125 or the Heritage version the 525 would be a thin bodied ES175. But if you need to work from a budget then an Epiphone Casino would be my choice (easy to sell when you want to move on as its an established brand and model). I find that HB PUs are tricky to get to sound nice without being boomy in the bass and it's somehow easier to get some controlled bass into a P90 as it sounds more like an overwound single coil (yep I know but I was thinking more Strat style single coils that you find in various overwound specs.)

Just did a search for the Sorrento - gosh that's a hard guitar to find on sale anywhere around the UK.

BTW - are you sure the Starfire hasn't a centre block? I thought they were more like 335's. I have an S300A Guild with those PUs so at that price they are a great choice.

Funny, I always thought that the 335 was a semi hollow center block design.

Sorry Fred, didn't make myself clear. I thought all the Starfires had centre blocks like the Starfire IV (?) one modelled on the Gibson 335. If this guy wants a true hollow body like a Casino then the Gibson 330 is like that and there are some old ones that are just like the Casino and similarly loaded with P90s. I think what the OP is looking for is a 16" body with a 1"+ thick sides and no internal blocks to muffle the sound. On the other hand he may be happy with a smaller body and thicker sides like those Godins at about £600. The casino is the most easy to find and not much money but with HBs most options come out more like 335s and back to that block issue. Personally I'd bite the cost bullet and buy a Japanese Elitist Casino for about £1400 and alter the PUs later if really necessary.

Starfire IV, V and VI are semi hollow, with centerblock. SF I, II and III are fully hollow.
