IMHO the Wilde/Bill and Becky Lawrence L280 noiseless pick ups are the best drop-in replacements for the sake of fat tone and clarity.
The Dimarzio Area T pickups are a close second. They might get you closer to the classic Ed Bickert pre-PAF tone, if that's what you're looking for, than the Wildes. Having used both extensively, I prefer the Wilde pickups.
Both of those have a bit of humbucker compression; if you really like the true single coil sound, the Wilde Microcoil pickups for the Telecaster are outstanding. While they are a true single coil, they pick up less noise due to the smaller coil not offering as much antenna. There are two versions, one with I presume a ceramic bar magnet and one with alnico polepiece magnets; I prefer the sound of the ceramics (the alnicos are a little too Stratty for my tastes).
In my case, I have found that I like adding a resistor in parallel between the hot output of the bridge pickup and ground to sweeten/round off the highs just a little bit and make it less spiky. There are wiring diagrams on the Wilde website and also Lindy Fralin's website has a very nice page on this. Basically, this makes the bridge pickup think it is seeing a lower resistance pot, say 100K, while the neck pick up thinks it's seeing 250K. Folks who belong to the icepick school of Telecaster bridge pickups would probably hate it.
Thought I would share. Aerodyne Telecaster. Stock pickup replaced with CC in P-90 case and upgraded bridge pickup. Both by Pete Biloft at Vintage Vibe pickups.
Interestingly the "tube amp" in the video is also a hybrid amp like the Milkman. But the preamp might be more authentically tube circuit than some of the tube based pedals where they integrate a tube...
If it's gonna cause you guys physical pain to play my nice arrangement of Blue Monk in minor, then I'll take your participation in major. I think you can play it in minor tho.

Here's a link to an almost hour long free entry level solo to A-Train you might enjoy, as it gave me a good jump start a few years ago:

Since we are talking about clean amps, the difference between tube and SS is mostly the compression of the tube design to my ears.
I was recently saw this video when searching for sound clips of...
Sorry to hear that Mark. I'm a fan of your playing and you have a lot more music to give.
I'll just go over my situation. I decided to quit guitar (and bass) and focus on piano because 1 finger...
You may be right. And the tube is inside this pedal amp with no venting, so I wonder if there would be a heat problem playing outside on a hot day. Some posit that the "tube sound" comes from the...
That's a hybrid pedal with a solid state (class D) power section, right? I am not sure if it's a good representation of a tube amp for an AB comparison. Henriksen has a model that has a tube in the...
I found my Custom 22 PRS to be closer in tone and feel to a Les Paul than a Strat. Mine had their "wide-thin" neck and Dragon Humbucker pickups. It was one of those guitars that on certain days, I...
If I lived in the U.S. I would buy that immediately! Great guitar, great price. (Of course would have to chat with the seller re history of the guitar, etc.)
In the past I have owned an...
I recently added a 5th amp to my toolbox that does use a single 12AX7 tube in the pre-amp stage ( Mikman The Amp 100). Just after I declared that my tube amp journey is over. Ha!
AB'd against my...
