'Guitar duo led by Krzysztof Wolinski on CD for the first time. Immortal standards, captivating compositions by the leader and Henryk Miskiewicz's sweet saxophone. Recorded in 1982, "Purpurowa Bossa" returns in its definitive version, enriched with three additional recordings.
Completorium emerged from a jazz trio founded in 1972 by Krzysztof Wolinski and Andrzej Kleszczewski, quickly shrinking to a two-person configuration. After winning the main prize at the International Traditional Jazz Festival "Zlota Tarka" in 1978, it became a fully professional band. The musicians gave concerts, took part in tours of other artists (Koman Band, Krystyna Pronko, Wild Bill Davison), and recorded for Polish Radio. After the dissolution of the first line-up, Krzysztof Wolinski remained with the current name, supplementing the Completorium line-up with other instrumentalists.
In 1982, Andrzej Lukasik, known from the Kazimierz Jonkisz Quintet, joined the band. With this line-up, the band recorded "Purple Bossa", their first and - as it soon turned out - only album. It is a cross-section through the almost ten-year-old repertoire of Completorium, and thus, through the musical imagination of Krzysztof Wolinski, whose taste has defined the musical image of the group from the very beginning, the reissue is released on the fortieth anniversary of the material's release as part of a partnership between GAD Records and Polskie Nagrania / Warner Music Poland.'
