French Accordian 'Sound' - How Do They Get It ?

Not sure we may not have discussed this, but I couldn't find mention of it.

Anyway someone told me it's their reeds, but could be a tuning thing too. ( ? ) It reminds me of the ' Fender classic ' amp button....

With two reeds per button, one is piched slightly higher than the other.
«Wet tuning» is also a thing on mandolin, i think.

For musette, it's three reeds.
