I would add remove 1 at a time drill a proper sized pilot hole then replace the screw. I keep a lump of beeswax handy at all times, no screw goes in wood without it.
Archie, Here is a photo of a similar completed design. I’ll defer to Wilkie on the details. I’ll PM his email if you’d like ask him directly. The burled cap/accents is Amboyna. It’s also...
Bari guys have to be friendly. They don’t get no respect otherwise… My son played mainly bari in his high school jazz band. The others sax positions were already filled, so he got bari. He...
Here is my 1983 Tele, which, btw, is also top loading. The humbucker is now a SD Whole Lotta Humbucker, and the bridge is a SD Broadcaster

Not exactly a jazz guitarist, but Jubu is one of the most influential RnB guitarists of the last 40 years. I saw the preview for this video a while ago and it finally dropped a few days ago. Great...
I have one of these “kits” https://www.jsbguitars.com/shop/guitar-building-tools/fretting/buzz-off-fret-leveling-kit/ The leveling tool is a narrow block of wood with a fret-shaped slot. You...
Christian's got me learning Billie's Bounce in the style of Rachmaninov, and since I can only seem to remember one tune at a time, it would be great if we did that one here too. I might even throw in...
