Sorry you didn't get more play. But you know how it is, about on par with the average person's sympathy for those trying to pursue the dream. They don't understand what it takes.

Looking back I would've just dropped out of high school and moved to TX at 16. Lied about my age, worked construction five or six years while I practiced at night, and then gotten the ball rolling. I've never experienced a greater time suck than going to school. Total waste for someone who just wants to gig. The only thing I learned in public ed was that public ed is a completely useless waste of life. Unless you can afford to get into a premium music program and make those social connections it's not worth it. I play blues so as BB King says, it's like being black twice. Well, I been black at least once then. No respect.
