In 2017, I recorded a few of my original tunes with some friends in a third-floor walkup in Red Hook. They came out pretty cool, but I haven't checked them out in a while. One of the saxophones on the recording asked me the other day if I had the recordings still, so I was listening and thought I'd put them on the ole YouTube.
All the tunes are originals, and recorded with the same crew––they're an eclectic bunch, so check them out if you can:
Peter Amos (me), guitar and compositions
Brian Plautz, tenor saxophone (Aberdeen)
Mark Phillips, alto saxophone (Queen's Cartoonists)
Tim Talavera, drums (Imaginary Tricks)
Trevor Brown, bass (lots of people)
Anyway ... here's the first one:

Love it! Keep ‘em coming!

Nice work, it was groovy.
-
Fun tune. I like the fact the tenor "comps" for your solo.
I would listen to a lot more of this, if you're inclined to post.
-
That's pretty unique.... but this was before you learned how to comp, right?

Thank you all for the kind words.
Here's the next.
I'm not trying to slow-roll them, they just take ten or fifteen minutes to put up, so I'm doing them when I can
-
Interesting. Who did the drawings?

-
Good music was heard in this thread

And here's the last one. Mark Phillips with the absolute demolition job on the sax solo.

All beautiful stuff, Peter. Ethereal, haunting, enigmatic.

I enjoyed all of these and I'm looking forward to listening to the whole batch with headphones tonight.
