If Guitar Center's business model relied on serious musicians in any way whatsoever, they would have gone under years ago. Of course, they want you to think that for marketing. But their bread and...
Here's example how I tend to practice picking technique sometimes. 1. Take one note, take another note. Move them one at a time and try to make motifs. 2. Press as gentle as you can with fretting...

These days I'm using a John Petrucci signature Jazz III. (It's a shade wider, longer, and sharper than a standard Jazz III.) I pick with a "shoulder" rather than the point. Nothing else I've...
Old dog eh..well kid..AA gave a good start point with the Mel Bay book and of course lots of info online..
Though to be fair, Leo was NOT marketing the Tele as a cheapie...he was going right for the pros. It was priced accordingly, I think a Tele was $150 back in the 50's, which would be over $1700 today....
Good thread and good stuff, I've been on holiday, but hopefully I'll catchup. :encouragement: I don't like Miles on the original version, he's not playing in unison with Parker, so I'll copy the...
They had a mint used Fishman Artist acoustic amp at a great price. I wanted to see how it stacked up against my similar spec'd Genzler. But I didn't want to bring mine in and be rushed into a quick...

I regularly play a Yamaha Pacifica 012, made in Indonesia. It has replacement tuners, pu, switch and output jack. So, I guess the original hardware wasn't great. OTOH, playability couldn't be...
