I've had a few guitars over the years that were like that. Sometimes pickup adjustment worked, sometimes not. I fixed these issues permanently by selling the instruments. Problem solved.
The binding on the neck and headstock are a nice touch. I don't believe the standard 575 has those features. My all-maple 575 has binding on the neck, but not on the headstock. And I love the thing....
