Looks like a nice Epi, but someone switched the Freqensator tailpiece sections so the bass side is on the treble side and vice versa. It would drive me nuts to leave it that way.
For whatever it’s worth, I had a lesson with Peter Bernstein where he was like …. Your swing on this one measure of this one part of this one tune is lame. Work on it in isolation and transcribe some...
And classical musicians who play difficult pieces exceptionally expressively didn’t learn to do that by sight reading them. Practice with your goal in mind. If Allan’s goal is to be able to get...
They've got most of the guitars listed and described in the auction, and you can even bid if you register. Randy really loves German archtops, and outside of a few rock axes he used, there's a bunch...
My experience is that most Boogie amps have fans. I am a big Boogie fan and so I am use to using a fan. Compared to the volume of the amp, I never really hear the fan.
Theory #2 imo, though that's the first Epi I've seen w a black heel stinger. Blue lined case, control knobs, mini PAFs and the aforementioned lack of binding issues support that theory though good...

My Mesa Blue Angel came with a fan. Although that is the only amp I have with a fan.
To answer this in detail would be a story too long-winding for a guitar forum. The Germans (initially some cleric people like monks) settled in and cultivated the region of North Bohemia already in...
Was thinking more factory and boutique. And I don't know of many hand carved guitars coming from factories or boutique manufacturers in the US. Heritage, Gibson, and Collings. Not sure who I'm...
Skip, two thoughts come to mind. I don’t know if either is helpful: 1. Putting the time into finding your joy might be useful. Don’t think about it in terms of music, or art, etc. You can...
I agree. Stern and his wife both seem like happy, positive people. I am not really a fan of eithers playing, but I love to watch them play. Their attitudes are contagious. Like a really good Allman...
@Ol’ Fret stated “It is clear to me that nowadays not many people, not even in Germany, are likely to know what these conditions actually looked like.” I find this interesting. Didn’t Rodebald...
