I have definitely considered one. I like the wide neck with no inlays. It's just a little pricier than I was wanting at the moment as I just want a beater archtop. The Zephyr was $550!

I love it too. It is one of those, however, that had some "bleed" at the binding so there is a slight cosmetic flaw, which is why I could afford to buy it in the first place! But I love the color...
I wanted the same thing and got an Eastman AR503CE. You might look into those.

Would a top sink at the neck pickup position? It's very close to the neck block.

I think I'll steer clear. I am just looking for a good value, single pickup archtop as a workhorse jazz box and thought I found a good value. Guess it was priced low for a reason
