Hi guys, I'd like to share the last arrangement I wrote for my website. I had never seen a solo guitar arrangement for this song, and it has been some time that I wanted to write this. It was not an easy task, but I think the result was good.

    I hope you enjoy it.

    Nice work.
I was listening to it just recently, and tried to look up some arrangements afterwards. As you mentioned, no luck.

That's a tricky song to arrange and I think your arrangement captures much
of the feeling of Aguas de Marco.

I've had a look at your site and you have been busy.
    65 lessons already.

Great that you offer a 7 day free look.

You could well see me there soon.....I've been missing my Brasilian hit.
    I'll dust off the violao.

Hi Invisible Pink Unicorn, thank you.
This song is deceptive. Both melody and harmony are simple when played separately, but I realized that it was very complicated to put all together when I was writing the arrangement. I tried in several different keys until figure out the best.

    Hi Moonray,
yes, it was a hard work. The arrangement was based in this recording:

Yes, a new lesson every week is driving me crazy. But even harder is the language.
Until two years ago I didn't know any English. Now I am in the stage that however much I study, the learning process is very very slow. I have tried to talk with native speakers through language exchange websites to improve the spoken English, but I had no luck yet.

It's not 7 days, it's 30 days with access to 7 lessons. Maybe it has not been clear and I have to write in another way.
I'd be glad if you try the website.

    virtuoso !
I have the tune played by Baden Powell.
Your interpretation is nicer (He was maybe a little drunk when He recorded this tune) ;-)

    Hi Hyppolyte,
I never heard this song played by Baden. Could you tell me which album contains this recording?

About the comparison, thank you, but probably he was really drunk. lol

    Thank you guys.

I'd like to say that besides these arrangements for Brazilian tunes there are other pieces and studies on the website. Like this one which I wrote for beginners.

I received this tune many years ago on a tape, given by a young Brazilian musician I meeted by a friend.
On the tape,he recorded "live" different Brazilian musicians.
This tape is now in a bad state!

Wonderful. A nice flow. I'm was actually going to mention this song in the lyrics thread. I love the imagery in the lyrics.

Is there some way to share this with us, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
You own what is probably a rare piece of Baden's history. Many Brazilian guitarists would donate one of their arms to get the chance to hear that (sorry, it's a Brazilian expression literally translated).

    Thak you Kevets,

There is a story that says that Jobim composed this song when he was building his house in his small ranch. While the house was not finished yet, he used to stay in a small and very rustic house made of wood. Many of the verses in the Portuguese version refer to things he could see and experience during that time.

Yes I understand. You would need to have the proper equipment to do so. What if you put the tape to play while you record the sound in you phone or some other device? It would be easy, without hard work, and it may be enough to share.

But don't get me wrong please, I don't want to bore you. It's just an idea.

    Best.
