Congrats, Stefan! That is lovely. I like especially your idea of swapping out the pickups for Lollars, and that laurel fretboard is gorgeous. Play it in good health for a good long time!
Such a difference between the clips just two months ago in the beginning of the thread! It's really inspiring me to practice this style, being so hip to listen to. One thing that I believe comes...
Just did a quick Autumn Leaves to show how I would personally use this sound. There's no denying it's 'raised eyebrows' but I do like it. Stream Underpigs by Christianm77 | Listen online for free...
Thomastik 12s are too light, and plinky on the E and B. Put on a Daddario 13 and 17 and it sounds much better, although hard to bend. I’m going to try Chrome 12s next, then Thomastik 13s (Epiphone...
It may affect the tone. I would recommend doing it, and seeing whether you like it better. It's easily reversible, so if you don't like it in series you can return it to parallel, no harm no foul.

So I don't hear the note on the G7 - I’m hearing where it's going. This is why I said resolving dominant If you are playing on an extended static dominant sound this note will sound dissonant if...
I like the philosophical direction that this thread has taken. Of course, what piece of gear is perfect and what can be improved is quite subjective. Sometimes I think Wes had the right attitude- the...
Yeah these conversations always come back to vocabulary. I always like to think of the opening phrase in Wes’s Misty solo.
None of it sounds right unless you understand how to phrase. People over concentrate on harmony at the early stages. There are no hip notes, just as there are no wrong notes. There's good players and...
I have one will sell it is the micro stealth humbucker pm me. Never used.
I remember a before and after Stella for me. It's a hard tune and it took me a while to be ok with it. I'm still exploring it.
